In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the Library will be closed on Monday, January 16th. We will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17th.

We generally follow the public school calendar's closings here in Bloomington, so this year we will be closed the week following Christmas Day and the week following New Year's Day. In observance of the upcoming holiday, next week the Library's hours will be

Monday - Open from 8:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 4:00

Tuesday - Open from 8:00 to noon

Wednesday - Closed

Thursday - Closed

Friday - Closed

Making the Most of the Holidays

Staff at the Indiana Resource Center for Autism have put together a handy list of tips for helping your family make the most of the upcoming holiday season. The tips were developed with input from the National Autism Society, the Autism Society of Indiana, Riley Child Development Center, Easter Seals Crossroads, LOGAN Autism Learning Centers, and the Indiana Autism Leadership Network and are updated annually.

Library Hours Next Week

Next week, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday, CeDIR will have different hours all week. We will be closed all day on Monday, May 30^th, and will be open in the mornings only (8:00 a.m. to noon) from May 31^st through June 3^rd.

Beginning on June 6^th, we will return to our regular hours: 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00.

Special time with Santa

On Friday, December 11th, from noon until 6:00 p.m., the Fountain Square Mall in Bloomington will be hosting a Special Time for families with people with special needs to visit with Santa Claus. Photographs will be discounted at $3.00 each. Santa will be located at the mantle scene in the main atrium of Fountain Square Mall, located at 101 W. Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47404.

Looking for a holiday app that can help teach cause and effect? Peekaboo Presents might be just right. Have a younger child touch a present to see what happens. An older child can try to guess what is inside the present from listening to the sound it makes before being unwrapped.

CeDIR Library Holiday Hours

If you'd like to get items checked out, please contact us by Friday, December 18th. We will be closed from December 19th through January 3rd and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4th.
