Family Supports Waiver began September 1

On September 1, 2012, The NEW Family Supports Waiver will replace the Support Services Waiver.  All those individuals who receive services under the Support Services Waiver will, as of 9/1/12, receive services under the Family Supports Waiver. The Indiana Resource Center for Autism has put together an informational article on these changes.

Webinar on Waivers

Looking for information on the Autism and Developmental Disability Waivers?

The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Service (DDRS) with the Autism Society of Indiana and Indiana Resource Center for Autism is hosting a webinar on May 30, 2012, at 9 a.m. to discuss combining  the Autism and Developmental Disability Medicaid Waivers.

This event requires registration. However, if you are unable to participate in this event, the presentation will be recorded and posted to the DDRS website within one week.

Autism Medicaid Waiver Webinar

Several states have implemented Autism Medicaid Waiver Programs that provide a variety of services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders. These programs may include educational, medical, and/or social services. Ellen Blackwell from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will provide a national overview of Autism Medicaid Waiver Programs. Additionally, representatives from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and South Carolina will present information about their state programs and share strategies and lessons learned in the process of creating successful models for Autism Medicaid Waiver Programs. Following the presentations there will be an opportunity for participant Q&A.
