Thinksheets for teaching social thinking and related skills
Thinksheets for teaching social thinking and related skills consists of 250 worksheets specifically designed to offer lessons in teaching social thinking. The worksheets help to create a lesson plan, defining how to break down concepts for students to explore and they can used directly with students. The worksheets can be copied and sent to parents and other professionals to give an idea of what the student is learning and how to carry the concept over in their own environments. Each worksheet page is coded for the recommended age group it targets.

Got a kid who is having a hard time staying on task? Third to 5th graders will enjoy Superflex takes on Brain Eater and the team of unthinkables. In it, the Social Thinking superhero takes on his nemesis Brain Eater, who distracts kids from doing their everyday tasks, like getting ready for school or listening in class. By using his Social Thinking strategies and his tool, the Superflex Distractor Shield, he is able to defeat Brain Eater, while also teaching the students invaluable strategies for defeating their own Brain Eaters!

It is a compilation work that introduces 82 new Unthinkables and 14 new Thinkables submitted by Social Town citizens of all ages, which have been edited and expanded upon by Stephanie Madrigal and Michelle Garcia Winner. Unthinkables and Thinkables are grouped by theme/category for easy reference by student or adult, and each entry includes the character's power, related information about its characteristics, and strategies to defeat the Unthinkable or bolster a Thinkables' help. -book description

Mobile App Monday - Avaz Lite - AAC App for Autism
Avaz Lite is a FREE AAC app for children who are non-verbal, or who have difficulty with speech or language. Avaz has received top international awards, including being on MIT’s list of Top 35 Innovations, and is the subject of a TED talk.
Avaz allows you to create a vocabulary of photographs and voice recordings to help kids create messages. It comes with 3 research-based, graded vocabularies, and a Core Words set that will help a child begin to communicate. These have been designed to facilitate spontaneous novel utterance generation, encouraging a child to use language, and generalize from it.
